Pipeline Opening Night!

The opening night for Pipeline was incredible. Truly, it was a fantastic day. My friend Meagan came to visit from Arkansas for the weekend. Saturday we went to the matinee performance of Once on This Island, which was such a beautiful and utterly inspiring show. It made me want to be more creative in my storytelling and lifted my heart. After a debrief at Frothy Monkey and dinner at Acme Feed and Seed, we watched the opening night performance of Pipeline. The actors blew me away. They had stepped it up even from the last dress rehearsal I watched. The scene between Omari and his father… it wrecks me every night, and it was so heartwrenching to hear the visceral reaction from the audience. After the show, we went to the after party at Ellington’s, where we had fantastic discussions with other NPT and TPAC staff. I am so thankful for the growing relationships in my life, and the great art I’m able to be a part of.
