The Things that Bind Us

By Amy Lytle and Lauren Elisabeth Terry

This show was the brain child of my good friend Amy Lytle and I. We wanted to explore the marriage of text and movement, inspired by our summer studying devised work in Liverpool. As a choreographer, this was a huge challenge, as we had about three hours per piece, all of which ranged from 3-7 minutes long. The cast was amazing and supportive, and we learned so much throughout the process. It is definitely a format that I would like to revisit, and continue to explore how movement influences theatre.
