Workshop with Jonathan Alexandratos

This weekend, I attended a playwriting workshop with playwright Jonathan Alexandratos, in conjunction with Nashville Repertory Theatre and the Barbershop Theatre. The workshop was a great, open space for acceptance and creativity. The workshop focused on synthesis and bringing together outside ideas with inward stories. It gave me a good blueprint for ways to kickstart new works. Also from the workshop, I’ve started working on a writing project that I am really excited about. I think this is the goal of any workshop - to give you tools and excite you enough to do more after the class time is over. I am so thankful for Jonathan for sharing their heart and thoughts, and for the openness of the other workshop members. I was deeply touched by stories shared that evening. The ability to create a space of love and openness like that is truly incredible. Thank you Jonathan, and the Rep and Barbershop!
